Motherless was taken offline on or around 8 May 2026 after action by Dutch law enforcement and the Netherlands Public Prosecution Service. It followed a CNN investigation published in spring 2026, which reported that large numbers of videos on the platform carried tags indicating non-consensual material. The operators have disputed parts of that account, and the brand has since moved between domains. In July 2026 the Attorney General of Texas moved to have the .com domain locked.
